Martha Brae River Rafting and Swamp Safari

Rafting on the Martha Brae river, the island’s #1 rafting attraction is located approximately three miles inland from the town of Falmouth, birthplace of one of Jamaica’s former Prime Ministers, Hugh Shearer. The attraction is a mere 20 miles from Montego Bay and 40 miles from Ocho Rios.

The embarkation area, “Rafter’s Village”, encompasses six acres of beautifully manicured lawns situated on a natural horseshoe island. You can browse locally made crafts, enjoy refreshments, snack or have lunch as well as swim in the pool.

A trip to the Jamaica Swamp Safari Village in Falmouth, Trelawny, will put you in touch with the wonders of nature and animal life. Located in a natural mangrove habitat, it is home to over 30 of endangered American Crocodiles, the also endangered Jamaican Boa Constrictor (Yellow Snake), and the once thought extinct Jamaican Coney.
